I was originally a classical animator and eventually I became a cg technical animator when the 2D industry went downhill. I studied the animation diploma at Vanarts, Vancouver and returned to Asia to work. I started my career making 2D animations for TV commercials at a post production house called Moon FX in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My job over there including animation, storyboarding and drawing background. After that I worked as an Animation Lead at Rupert 3D animation studio in ShenZhen, China doing TV series, TV commercials and game trailers. When I came to Vancouver, I was hired by Backbone Vancouver as a technical animator for 3 years until the branch studio was closed down.

I have been employed as a Technical Animator at Rockstar Vancouver since Nov 2008. I am currently working on Max Payne 3.

Games I have worked on include Sonic Rival 1 & 2 on PSP (Sega), Monster Lab on Wii and DS (Eidos), also I assisted other projects in the studio mostly supporting the animation process. Before joining the game industry, I involved in creating animations for clients like Nestle, Sony, Caltex etc. in a post production house.

Way back in 90s before becoming an artist, I worked as Mechanical Engineer for 3 years in Malaysia designing hi-rise hotel and office building services i.e. water plumbing, sanitary system, fire figthing system. I was also a quality control engineer of a project buidling power plant in TaoYuan, Taiwan.
